Thelma Aoyama (feat. SoulJa) // Soba Ni Iru Ne
Language: Japanese
Rating:
Comment: One of Thelma Aoyama’s singles, which reached #1 on Japan’s Oricon charts. It’s got an R&B flavor to it. Give it a try, it’s not very often that I like Asian R&B/hip-hop music.

Jordin Sparks // One Step At A Time
Language: English
Rating:
Comment: The latest song that I’ve heard from Jordin Sparks. It’s pop to the extreme, but it’s very catchy and I love it. She performed this song in this past Season 7’s American Idol show.

The Last Goodnight // Stay Beautiful
Language: English
Rating:
Comment: I absolutely love this song. It’s infectious, upbeat and just wonderful. Highly recommended!

Amuro Namie // Baby Don’t Cry
Language: Japanese
Rating:
Comment: I’m not sure how old this song is, but it’s pretty good. Amuro Namie’s a talented J-Pop artist.

Iron and Wine // Passing Afternoon
Language: English
Rating:
Comment: If you like Iron and Wine at all, I suggest you get this song immediately. I first heard it in the season finale of House. Unsurprisingly, it’s a mellow and slow-paced song. But if you’re in the mood for music like this, it’ll rock your socks off.

Texas Faggott // IXU
Language: Instrumental, Techno?
Rating: 3/5
Comments: This is one of the tamest songs from the artist “Texas Faggott”. Usually their stuff is so crunchy, I can’t listen to more than 15 seconds at any particular time.

Thievery Corporation // It Takes a Thief
Language: Instrumental, Lounge?
Rating: 3/5
Comments: Sounds pretty lounge-y to me, but don’t take my word for it, I’m certainly no music buff.

Yoshida Brothers // Storm
Language: Instrumental
Rating: 4/5
Comments: Traditional Japanese instruments with a modern twist. Give it a listen! It starts out a little slow, but definitely picks up.

Kors K // SigSig (Original Extended)
Language: Instrumental, Techno
Rating: 4/5
Comments: Have you figured out the theme yet? Anyway, I can’t remember where I got this from anymore, but it sounds strangely like a song someone would be quickly bashing little white/black buttons to.

Remioromen // Konayuki
Language: Japanese
Rating: 5/5
Comments: This song plays a lot in the background of the Japanese drama series “1 Litre of Tears”. It’s a beautiful song and it’s even better when you’ve watched the series.

Hirasawa Susumu // Parade
Language: Japanese
Rating: 4/5
Comments: Track 13 on Paprika’s OST. This is also the ending (credits) theme. As I’ve mentioned before, Paprika’s soundtrack has some amazing music. I recommend you watch the movie!

Hirasawa Susumu // Shizuku Ippai No Kioku
Language: Japanese
Rating: 4/5
Comments: Track 1 on Paprika’s OST. Ohhh, refrigerator-led parade, how I wish I can dream of you!

Shuji to Akira // Seishun Amigo
Language: Japanese
Rating: 4/5
Comments: When I first heard it, I thought it was little too “Japanese Boy Band”-ish for me. But after one listen-through, I’m reluctant to admit that this song is annoyingly catchy. Grrr. I like it.

Mr. Children // Youthful Days
Language: Japanese
Rating: 5/5
Comments: A chill, upbeat j-rock song. I highly recommend it.

Bump of Chicken // Hybrid Rainbow
Language: Japanese
Rating: 5/5
Comments: This song is found on the “Synchronized Rockers” CD, an album dedicated to The Pillows. From what I can see, it’s a bunch of other j-rock bands singing Pillows songs. This one starts out much slower than the original Hybrid Rainbow song, but just wait, it eventually rocks out like no other.
